Chief Executive Officer

Chan Wing Yau George

• Over 30 years of experience in the fund management industry and has served a number of world-known financial institutions
• 6 years of experience as Director of Jardine Fleming Management Limited from 1987-1993. Responsible for client servicing and business development of pension and institution account
• 2 years as experience as Executive Director of HSBC Asset Management Hong Kong Limited from 1993-1995. Principle Client Service manager, and the Head of Institutional Department responsible for overseeing fund performance
• 3 years of experience as Director of Peregrine Asset Management (HK) Limited from 1995-1998. Responsible for setting up the investment arm of the Peregrine Group
• 6 years of experience as Director, General Manager and Chief Investment Officer of Dao Heng Fund Management Limited from 1998-2004. Responsible for the overall management of the company and acting as Chairman of the Asset Allocation Committee. In 1998, the Dao Heng Hong Kong Fund was awarded 1st Place in the Standard & Poor's Micropal One Year Offshore Territories Equity Hong Kong Sector out of 36 funds
• Senior Director of Principal Asset Management Company (Asia) Limited from 2004-2005. Responsible for Pension and Mutual Fund business of Principal Group in Hong Kong.
• Mr Chan is currently the independent non-executive director of Weiqiao Textile Company Limited (stock code: 2698) and Infinity Development Holdings Company Limited (stock code: 640).

Responsible Officer

Ip Ka Tsun Anthony

• Founded a privately run investment management company in 2003. Responsible for actively managing its Hong Kong and China equity portfolio, and using derivatives for hedging and balancing the risk and return of the portfolio
• Holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Hons) in Accountancy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong
• A Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA)

Portfolio Manager & Responsible Officer

Vilia Wu

• Vilia joined Capital Focus in 2016 as a Portfolio Manager to manage segregated portfolios for Professional Investors. She later becomes one of the Responsible Officers in 2018 to oversee and manage the daily operation of investment advisory business of the Company. She is also an Executive Director and Responsible Officer of Shun Loong Securities Co Ltd, an associate company of Capital Focus.
• Vilia has over 15 years of experience in investment management industry, having held positions at management levels over 10 years. Prior to joining Capital Focus and Shun Loong, she was a Managing Director and Responsible Officer of various licensed corporations. Vilia has also engaged in setting up offshore private funds for Professional Investors and participated in the design of the portfolio mix of private equity funds.
• Vilia has provided market insights to the executive management team of a listed company when she drew up the business plan for one of its wholly owned subsidiaries that was going to conduct securities brokerage and asset management business in Hong Kong. Vilia was responsible for planning the operation of the start-up from scratch.
• Vilia graduated from University of Portsmouth with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Social Policy & Administration. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFPCM) with Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK).
